Another interesting find during my trip to Japan were these 4D puzzle toys, I found it in a small gift shop in Minoh, I wish I had bought more of them! These are made by Pirates Factory, a toy company from Japan.
These puzzles come in a cute little log case which contains all of the pieces. There are a lot of insects and other bugs to collect, and it was relatively affordable as well. When the puzzle is put together, you get a pretty cool little toy bug - I got a fly!
The fly puzzle I got took about 10 minutes to put together, there were a few points where I had to reassemble it a little bit, but overall it was a satisfying puzzle and wasn't too difficult. And the model of the fly is very good! The wings can move a little bit, which is a nice feature.
The only thing I don't like much about the puzzle is that some parts of it easily fall off when handling too much, so I'm not sure how much you could really play with it, but it's quite a detailed model considering the price so I think it's still worth it.
As I mentioned, there are quite a lot of arthropods represented in this collection, if I ever get a chance, I'd love to pick up some more of these. I was especially hoping to get the scorpion. You can see some of the other 4D puzzle series made by Pirates Factory here!
